For P.J. Stone, being a “Seer” who has never seen anything is less than fun. And P.J. isn’t known for her patience.

To make matters worse, she must choose a suitable mate to continue the Seer bloodline. Duty always comes before her heart…at least that’s what her parents taught her. When she finds herself wanting someone who is considered off-limits, P.J. is forced to question everything she believes.

As if navigating her love life isn’t complicated enough, P.J. finally receives a vision—of a threat to her world that only she can perceive. But no one will believe a fledgling Seer’s warnings. With nowhere else to turn, she may decide to trust a stranger with her life, her world, and maybe even her heart.

New Year, New Books, New Swoon Worthy Men!

--Happy New Year All--

With a new year comes fresh starts and that is exactly what I plan on doing this year! I was going to post my Top Fifteen list of 2012 yesterday but I decided since I haven't been the most dedicated blogger this year that I needed to wait for a new year. So today I am going to let you guys in on my Top Fifteen and talk a bit about what I hope to accomplish with my blog this year. Lets get into it!

I hope to be reviewing more as the year goes on but I don't think I am going to go the traditional book blogger route this time around. I may do a meme here and there, but mostly I am going to just be posting my reviews and whatever comes to my mind when it comes to a book. So basically this is going to be my very own blog where I just spew out all sorts of amazing things when it comes to books. I have came a long way in a year as far as my reading tastes go. When I started this blog last year I was completely into Paranormal books and that was all I wanted to read, and now I have gone back to my first love, contemporary books. And not just any contemporary, New Adult Contemporary. I mean shit guys, it is THE BEST. That was probably the biggest reason I quit blogging last year. I got overwhelmed with books that I was just not that into anymore, and writing a review became more like a chore than something I enjoyed doing. So I am not going to take many requests and just read and review what I want. I will hopefully also be guest reviewing for Tara over at Tater's Tall Tails. That way if I lack on my own blog, you can still find me somewhere. Because lets face it folks, Tara and I started around the same time and her blog is BLOWING UP! So once you are done reading my rambling go check out her site!

Now, on to my Top Fifteen of 2012 list. Let me tell you guys, it was NOT easy picking this years top ten. I have read so many INCREDIBLE books this year that I just didn't know where to start. But eventually I narrowed it down and these are my favorite reads of 2012!! In no order mind you, there is no way I could order them if it was just this hard picking a top fifteen!

I couldn't pick between Crash or Clash and I couldn't pick between Slammed and Point of Retreat!! How is a girl to choose when it comes to choices like that?! That is the beauty of making your own lists, you can cheat all you want. [:

Review/Playlist: My Paper Heart by Magan Vernon

My Paper Heart
Magan Vernon
Release Date: August 1st, 2012
( Barnes & Noble / Amazon )
There are worse things in life than failing out of college- such as having your parents receive the letter that you’ve been kicked out.
Now to appease her parents self-proclaimed sorority princess Libby Gentry is packing up her Prada bag and heading to work for her great aunt’s antique store in tiny Elsbury, Louisiana. She’s pretty sure she can tackle the swamp and deal with her great aunt and tom boy of a little cousin, but what she doesn’t know is if she can handle the local town playboy, Blaine Crabtree.

As Libby's feelings for Blaine grow, so does her need for acceptance and all of the insecurities she has kept inside are coming out. She may have survived the Louisiana swamp, but she may not survive Blaine's reluctance to say the 'L' word. When Blaine finally commits to the three words Libby’s been waiting for, she only hopes they haven’t come too late.

**This book does contain some mild language and sexual content. It is meant for upper YA readers**

*An eARC was provided to me by the author in exchange for an honest review*

:Review:
I wasn't sure what to expect when going into reading My Paper Heart. I have never read a book by Magan Vernon before but once I read the synopsis and saw that it was going to be classified as New Adult I knew I had to give this book a shot.

Libby isn't you typical blonde bimbo. Well, from the looks of it I guess you can say she is... flunking out of college after her first year and the sorority she was apart of could very well make you think she is a nothing more than a sorority girl with money who didn't give a rats a** to wither she passed or failed. But when her parents are more than peeved that she wasted a full year of college she is sent packing to her Great Aunts in Louisiana for a little wake up call.

I thoroughly enjoyed Libby. She was hilarious and the more you get to know her the more you know she isn't the blonde bimbo everyone in her sorority though she was. She is hilarious and along the way find herself amongst the southern charm she was so against when she was sent away. I love the connection she forged with her cousin Brittany and it really helped the reader see that Libby is way more than meets the eye. And don't you dare get me started on Blaine. Ladies, Blaine is that sexy southern man that we all dream about, not to mention completely and totally hilarious in everything he says. Swoon!

There wasn't a major WOW factor for me in how this book was delivered or finished, but I did enjoy how I got my complete ending. That is the one thing that pushes me away from books now a days, especially indie books. Finishing way too soon and with not enough substance. But this book hit the nail on the head and ended great. If you are looking for something that isn't too smexy and just the right amount of swoonage then I MUST suggest that you pick this read up. I know you ladies will fall for Blaine just the way I did. ; ]

:Playlist:
Check out these great songs that really help the reading of this book flow. Magan Vernon went all out country for this one, but what else would you expect?! [ :

*Only Prettier* -Miranda Lambert-
*I Never Told You* -Colbie Calliat-
*Cowboy Cassanova* -Carrie Underwood-
*God Bless The Broken Road* -Rascall Flatts-
*Home* -Michael Buble-
*Pour Some Sugar On Me* -Def Leppard-
*Hell on The Heart* -Eric Church-
*Picture to Burn* -Taylor Swift-
*Ladies Love Country Boys* -Trace Adkins-

Cover Reveal: Empty Net [Assassins #3] by Toni Aleo

Hello all!

So jumping right back into blogging is just what I need to get this week started. And I think I just may have a little something to get your week going as well. If you remember, I am a pretty dang big Toni Aleo fan. Her books pretty much made me realize that I was a fool for not paying attention to those studly sexy hockey players I saw on ESPN. Well today you get to see her cover for Empty Net the third book in her Assasins series. And let me tell you all, its steaming hot. Want a peak?

...Drum Roll Please...

Empty Net [Assasins #3]
Toni Aleo
Expected Release Date: September 11th, 2012
Definition of an Empty Net: When a team pulls the goalie for an extra attacker, desperately seeking a goal.
Audrey Parker was in a horrible place.
She hated her job, her sister was getting married and moving out, but worst of all, she was in love with a total jerk. No matter what she did, every guy she met hurt her. All she wanted was her happily ever after. Her Prince Charming. Her Lucas Brooks! She didn’t know how to change her life but she knew she needed too.
Feeling like she was about to hit rock bottom, Audrey wakes up next to Tate Odder.
Tate Odder had lost everything.
After being brought up from the Assassins’ farm team, the Florida Rays to the Nashville Assassins, Tate hopes he’ll forget everything he has lost. He doesn’t. Each day gets harder to live in a place he doesn’t know. Even being the first rookie goalie to shut out an opposing team three times during the Lord Stanly Cup Finals, he still felt empty. With the loss of his parents and sister still heavy on his heart, Tate isn’t sure how to live like everything is okay.
But when he wakes up beside Audrey Parker, things start to change. She turns his life upside down with her kooky sense of humor and her bright clothing. She is intelligent and beautiful, and for once, he doesn’t feel empty.
Will Audrey be the person to fill the holes in Tate’s heart, making him whole again?
Or will another player ruin everything, leaving him feeling forever like an empty net?

Coming back...With a new look on blogging.

Hello all you wonderful bloggers/readers out there.

I have a feeling some of you may be a bit taken aback at seeing me blogging again, since I have been gone since about May or so. I feel like before tomorrows cover reveal for Toni Aleo's third book Empty Net goes up I should give you guys a bit of an update. Really...just explaining why I stopped and just dropped off the face of the blogosphere.

Blogging became too much too fast for me. I got all excited and took on all these books and got overwhelmed, and when I found out I was expecting my 2nd child it just added on to my brain being overloaded [and so stinking tired!] After taking a step back from blogging and finding my love of reading again I have come to miss my connections with all of you. Reviews felt like a chore and now, since I have stopped reviewing, I have felt a big old giant hole in my soul for not being able to get my crazy and heart stopping thoughts out of my head for a book that made me fall head over heels. I have missed fangirling over a swoon-worthy stud or freaking out over a story that I just KNEW you all had to read. So I have decided to come back, but with a bit different outlook on how I want to run my blog.

One of the things I missed the most when I got overwhelmed with review books was being able to read the book I want, when I want. So that being said, I have decided to tweak my review policy and take on WAY less books for review. I will probably end up doing less of the weekly meme's also. Some of them I really enjoy and I will do them off and on, but not killing myself to find a book to fit. Now, I realize that I may not be posting everyday, but I still feel like I will have something to offer you guys and a way to get out all of my book rants I have been holding in.

If you are reading this my followers, thanks for sticking by me in my long absence and I hope you stick around for what I have to offer now. I have missed all of you and most of all I have missed the giant network of book friends I have acquired. You guys are all amazing and I can't wait to start making the connections with all of you again.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and don't forget to come back here tomorrow for the cover reveal of Empty Net [Assassins #3] by Toni Aleo. Let me tell you, missing it is not something you want to do.
